This is a crucial program.  Many faculty in FAS are eager to update their teaching using the most recent instructional technologies, but we tend to be far too busy to do this on our own.  The PITF program allows us to do this.  A major side-benefit is working closely with talented undergraduate and graduate students on pedagogical matters; they are much closer to the ground when it comes to student learning, and I have learned a great deal from their input on non-technological as well as technological issues.
