Language Study Course Websites

The PITF organized the website into weekly pages that included all of teaching materials. Students could find the materials needed to prepare for tests, assignments, as well as other resources including audio files, online dictionaries, and supplementary materials.

Teaching Challenge:

When there is so much material to cover in language courses (vocabulary, pronunciation guides, grammar, translation resources), the challenge is to organize materials in such a way that leads the student progressively through materials while allowing easy review. The summer language program became the venue for initiating website designs that organized materials by week. This became the standard for academic year language courses (and became a template for other course offerings).
